Horses
Lucerne Chaff Haylage has proven to be a popular supplement for horses and its high nutritional value makes it an acceptable alternative or adjunct to the more traditional dry feeds.
We find that our Lucerne Chaff Haylage is very palatable for horses and is very easy to get them started on it. They do well and keep condition on and puts a shine on their coats, and gives them energy without heating them up.
Adequate fibre intake is vital for a healthy digestive tract in all horse. Horses at risk of gastric ulcers would benefit from the addition of Lucerne forage (eg chaff haylage). |

Calves
Like all supplementary feed Calves should be introduced to Lucerne Chaff Haylage slowly and quantity of feed will depend upon the dietary components.
It is also not attractive to the bird life so there for it avoids diseases and wastage.
Feeding Lucerne Chaff Haylage helps the development of the ruminant in the calves so when they move onto grass they will do well.
Lucerne Chaff Haylage is naturally high in protein and minerals and forms a natural part in any calf rearing program. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other feeds and is highly palatable. |
